These are the two first NAS- bottlings of the Shizuoka Distillery from both their potstills. Hence the name Prologue.  The K stands for the Karuizawa potstill the only one saved after the closing of the Karuizawa distillery. And therefor likely to be the only inheritor of the Karuizawa legacy. The W is probably from the only woodfire-heated pot still in the world, as far as we know. That makes tem both unique in historical and technical sense. The Prologue W is somewhat more outspoken and fruitier with some roughness on the palate, way above average quality as an NAS. The Prologue K is somewhat more subtle en shy and needs somewhat more time to show itself. Very good as a NAS whisky. Both are showing the great potential of the Shizuoka distillery into the future. For sure there's more good to come from this new distillery.
